When my parents mentioned that they were going to Hong Kong and China in the fall, I had no shame in asking if I could tag along with them and their friends. I’m so lucky to have parents that are actually fun to travel with. I’m an old soul, and they’re young at heart so we’re essentiallyย the same age ๐Ÿ™‚ We did a 6 day tour of the Zhangjiajie national parks in the northern Hunan province, and each day was jam packed with sightseeing. It varied between 20-35 degrees the whole time we were there, and the fog followed us everywhere. It wasn’t until this trip that I realized just how massive China is. Each region is full of culture and history, and in 6 days we barely scratched the surface.

Day 3

Day 4

Day 5

By the end of the tour, I was exhausted. I came down with a fever towards the end, but managed to get rid of it in a day. We did soo much in 6 days, but I’m glad we did. I thoroughly enjoyed every stop of the tour, and learned so much. This is only about 25% of all the pictures I actually took, but these are the highlights ๐Ÿ™‚ Please feel free to email me or leave a comment if you have any questions about any of the pictures! I love talking about the trip!

Be sure to check out my next post about our second leg of the trip, Hong Kong!
